I am not a big fan of winter, cold weather and rainy days. I am however, a big fan of oversized sweaters, fluffy soft blankets, snuggles and cozying up with something warm and nourishing. So whenever I notice myself getting negative around the cold weather I try to shift my mindset into a more positive state, reminding myself what I like about winter (rather than focusing on what I dislike).
Winter is a fact, it's reality, it's your circumstances, which you cannot change. BUT you CAN change your perception around it.
So STOP COMPLAINING (it only causes more suffering) and cozy up with a good book and my Hearty bowl of oatmeal.
Chocolate Oatmeal Porridge Recipe:
In a pan mix:
1. 1/2 cup of oats
2. 1/2 cup of almond milk
3. 1/2 cup of water
4. 1 tbsp cacao
5. 1/2 tsp maca powder (optional)
6. Pinch of cinnamon
7. Pinch of sea salt
Cook for 5-7 min on low fire, keep stirring
Poor into a bowl, add some more almond milk and top with your favourite fruits and seeds, nuts, coconut flakes, cacao nibs etc.
