Green Boosting Post Workout Smoothie

November 23, 2017

Healthy fats are essential for a healthy balanced diet. One of my favourite healthy fats is AVOCADO. Avocado is not only an energy booster but also a brain booster, as it improves concentration and memory.

It has plenty of essential fatty acids, and loaded with vitamins A, E ,K ,B and C, plus- plenty of fiber too!

Combined with spinach and banana this smoothie is nutrient dense and will provide your body with long lasting energy. Bananas and spinach are both high in potassium, zinc, magnesium, calcium and many more essential minerals and vitamins. This trio- banana+avocado+spinach is amazing combo to fuel up your cells (especially after a workout!)

*I don't recommend eating too much bananas as they contain a large amount of sugar, and it doesn’t really have much protein or any healthy fat whatsoever along with it. If you have a sensitive blood sugar or trying to lose weight limit bananas in your diet and go for lower glycemic fruits like berries. And if you choose to eat a banana have it with fat and /or protein so your blood sugar levels don't go high so fast.

Try this smoothie recipe after your next workout! (and let me know how you felt...)
