Overnight Oats: Simple, Healthy Make-Ahead Breakfast

We all need to have few easy go-to delicious recipes to keep ourselves nourished during busy times.

What I love about overnight oats is that it stays good in the fridge for 5 days! so you can make few jars and have it for breakfast or have it as a snack.

Overnight oats:

Ingredients - 1/2 cup old fashioned oats 1 tbsp chia seeds 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1 tbsp desiccated coconut 1/2 cup milk of your choice (I personally go for almond milk) 1/4 cup natural yogurt (I love goat yogurt but you can choose any kind! coconut also works if you are vegan)

Instructions - In a jar or bowl place all the ingredients and stir well to combine. Top with your fruit of choice. Place the lid on the jar and refrigerate overnight, or up to 5 days. When you’re ready to serve, add a drizzle of maple syrup or honey if you’d like, and enjoy chilled. This is the basic recipe but there are so many ways to play around with it, adding different flavours and toppings. I love topping mine with seeds (sunflower and pumpkin seeds), cacao nibs and fruit. You can also add 1 tbsp of peanut butter or almond butter to the mixture or add raw cacao powder.
