You’ve Got Choices
While harvesting rhubarb for crumble from the garden the other day, I found myself thinking about this first week of September—a week of back to work for many and back to school for some. The cusp between seasons. A time for dreams and plans to emerge.
For me, September has always been a month to restart and reset, to reevaluate and realign, to point myself toward where I want to go and let go of what’s not working.
A time to create space for my next evolution to unfold.
Wherever you find yourself as we step into this new season—whatever feelings September brings—I hope this email reminds you of one simple truth: you’ve got choices. Lots of them.
It may be hard to see it from where you’re standing right now, in the thick of it all, but I can tell you from my perspective—it’s true. You've always got choices.
If you’re in a toxic job that makes you doubt yourself daily, you’ve got choices.
If you feel burnt out from the constant juggle, you’ve got choices.
If you feel stressed and overwhelmed, you’ve got choices.
If you feel bored and underwhelmed, you’ve got choices.
Despite what society may tell you, or the stories your protective mind spins, or the limiting beliefs you place on yourself, please remember—you’ve got choices.
I also know that we live in the real world. We have bills to pay, and mouths to feed, and sometimes keeping things as they are might be the best choice for now. But—even in those moments—it's still a choice. And when you consciously make that choice, you shift from being a victim of your circumstances to becoming the owner of your decisions, whatever they are. That alone puts you in a stronger position, ready to launch forward when the time is right.
Here's the thing –
So often, we shut down our desires and dreams before we give ourselves a chance to fully explore them.
“I can’t afford to pivot my career right now.” “I don’t have any certifications.” “I don’t have time for a new hobby.”
Sound familiar?
My challenge to you today is to get into the habit of asking yourself:
Why not?
“Why not?” is curious, open, and expansive. It pulls you out of black-and-white thinking and creates a gap between your dream and the instinct to talk yourself out of it.
So, be curious. Ask why not? You might discover that moving toward your dreams is far more possible than you’ve been telling yourself.
And if asking “Why not?” leads you to want to create real change, I’ve got your back. I have a few spots open for 1:1 coaching clients who are ready to find their way forward, towards fulfilment and alignment—in career, in life, and beyond.
Fill out this application form, and we’ll schedule a free 30-minute call to see if we’re a good fit and if working together 1:1 is the right next step for you.
Your life is bigger and more beautiful than you know. Now is the time to step into that potential and embrace the choices in front of you.
You’ve got this.
With love,
Naama
